My Little Coco Chanel
Well, as I mentioned in Hadley's 7 month post, we had our first set of professional photos taken this past month. Boy oh boy what an experience! Mommy was all excited to get these taken as I had found this photographer way before you were even born and scheduled your appointment 8 months in advance! (I tried to get in sooner but they were booked) For such a happy happy baby you sure did HATE this process. Too much stimulation for you. Changing outfits every 10 min, having bright flash go off in your eyes, having to sit by yourself and not be held. You screamed the entire time. Thankfully, we ended up with a lot of great pictures of you! Now we can always remember your little rooster feathers hair style and your chunky chunky thighs.

Wilkes & St. Baldrick's
Our Wilkes. Our sweet, generous, self-less Wilkes. Words cannot begin to express how proud we are of him!!
A few weeks ago, Wilkes came home from school and told us that he was going to shave his head for kids with cancer. Every year his school does a fundraising campaign in partnership with the St. Baldrick's organization. This organization asks volunteers to raise money and shave their heads (or donate 7in or more of their hair) to kids with cancer. The money goes to research or to help families pay for their stay at hotels while they travel for cancer treatments. It's such a great cause and Wilkes just "had to be a part of it."
So, we created his online donation page, and asked all his family (and mommy and daddy's friends) to donate whatever they could to help him be the #1 fundraiser in his school.
He set a goal for himself of $150 and he raised a total of $415!! He loved logging into his page every day to see if the dollar amount got higher, and of course to him, even $10 received a big reaction of "WHOAH!!! $10!!! That's a lot of money"
So, to all of you who helped him exceed his goal, we send a big THANK YOU. It's so great to see the support he has behind him :)
Here's what our boy looks like now. He said, "this is the new me!"
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE him!!!!
