7 is Heaven!

Hadley Doodle! Stop growing!!!! I just need to freeze you in this moment forever.  The past 4 weeks have been so fun with you.  You are growing by leaps and bounds and discovering EVERYTHING!  And, you interact with all of us, just melts my heart to smile at you and see you smile back so big at me. <3

Here's what's been happening to you this month!

YOU

• are 16lb 10oz and 26.5 inches tall!
• find and pick up microscopic things off the floor and put them in your mouth (agh!!)
• can entertain yourself in your jumpy for 45-60 min!
• hold your hands up when you want us to pick you up
• chomp down on everything (but no teeth yet!)
• reach out for mommy (not really anyone else yet)
• can say "dadadadada" (and mommy thinks you look so much like him!)
  
• feed yourself little puffs (you love the banana flavor)
• have successfully weened
• wake up and quietly play for a little while in your crib
• can scoot around on the floor pretty quick
• shake your toys to make a sound
• can change direction mid-scoot
• still give great slobbery kisses!
• prefer solid foods over your milk bottles
• love the sound of anything that crinkles (bag of chips, paper, etc.)
• are incredibly fascinated by dogs and don't cry when Jax gives you kisses
• can sit up by yourself for about 8-10 sec before falling on your side
• love to stand (with our help of course!)
• have acquired your second nickname (Doodle will always be the first): Rooster!.  Your hair sticks straight up in the back like the feathers on a rooster, no matter how hard we try to get it to stay down, it won't!
  
• had your first set of professional photos taken!  But, absolutely HATED everything about it.
• had a good time with Grandpa when he came to visit! You finally gave him smiles :)
